Ingredients
Cinnamon Rolls
- 1 pkg. Dry Yeast
- ¼ cup Water (Warm)
- ¾ cup Milk (Scalded)
- ¼ cup Butter
- ¼ cup Sugar
- 1 tsp Salt
- 3 cups Flour
- 1 Egg
- Nuts (Optional)
- Raisins (Optional)
Icing
- 2 cups Icing Sugar
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- Milk (Enough to medium consistency)
Instructions
- Soften Yeast in warm water.
- Combine the Milk, Butter, Sugar, and Salt.
- Cool to lukewarm.
- Add 1 cup of the Flour; Beat well.
- Beat in the Yeast mixture and the Egg.
- Add the remaining Flour and mix well.
- Place in a greased bowl and let rise until double in bulk.
- Punch down and roll out Dough.
- Spread with soft Butter.
- Sprinkle Brown Sugar and Cinnamon over Butter.
- Add Nuts or Raisins if desired.
- Roll up and cut in 1 or 2 inches.
- Place Rolls into a greased pan and let rise until doubled.
- Bake at 350℉ until brown for 25-30 minutes.
- Spread with frosting while still hot.
